Whitchurch Silk Mill’s chance to win £1,000

By admin 03.04.2023

Whitchurch Silk Mill is calling for nominations to win a £1,000 Movement for Good Award from the Benefact Group.

The Mill is encouraging people to nominate us for a chance to win £1,000 as part of Benefact Group’s Movement for Good Awards, which is giving over £1 million away to charities for the fifth year running.

It’s quick and easy to nominate Whitchurch Silk Mill online. Nominations remain open, and you can vote for us online at www.movementforgood.com

Winners will be drawn randomly; the more times the Mill has been nominated, the more chance it has of being selected.

This could help fund the ongoing conservation of our Victorian Looms. We are currently auditing Looms 5, 12 and 15 as they desperately need conserving. Every nomination increases our chances!

Please use your social media channels to ask people to vote for us to give us the best chance of winning.

Mark Hews, Group Chief Executive of Benefact Group, says: “We’re delighted to announce the launch of Benefact Group’s Movement for Good Awards for the fifth year running. Benefact Group is the third largest corporate donor in the UK and has an ambition to be the biggest. Owned by a charity, all of its available profits go to good causes, and the more the group grows, the more the group can give. Our Movement for Good Awards will continue to help charities change lives for the better and we know that for many charities, £1,000 can make a real difference.”

Movement for Good is funded by EIO plc, part of the Benefact Group.

There are three £1,000 draws this year and nominations are open until December 17th 2023. It’s best to nominate us as early as possible to get into all three £1,000 draws.
