Spook-Tacular Fun for October Half Term

By admin 23.09.2019

We are excited to announce the October half term programme. At the Bug Bonanza, children can meet an amazing travelling insect house. This is one of the UK’s largest insect shows with a massive range of live invertebrates, from giant spiders and insects to the beautiful Mantis, and just about everything in between. The drop-in event is available with admission to the Mill plus £2 per child, it runs on Wednesday 30th October, 10.30am to 4pm.

Halloween Make and Take is a drop-in event. Children can use their imagination to create spooky crafts and eerie LEGO® brick pumpkins. Come along on Thursday 31st October, 10:30am to 12:30pm. Free with Admission to the Mill plus £1 per LEGO® pumpkin.

Later on, in conjunction with Museums at Night, the Mill is hosting a Halloween after Dark event. The evening will begin with some creepy crafts and gruesome games. A terrifying tour of the Mill will follow – listen to spooky stories and watch out for the wicked weavers as they play their tricks. Finish with a tasty treat and enjoy the scary supper – if you can! Booking is essential, contact Whitchurch Silk Mill on 01256 892065 or visit for more details.
