For over two centuries, Whitchurch Silk Mill has preserved the endangered craft of silk weaving. Within the quintessential Georgian Mill, a small highly skilled team of weaver tacklers wind, warp, and weave beautiful, artisan cloth using a historic collection of machinery and traditional silk weaving skills which have been passed down through generations.

Every length of cloth that leaves our looms carries more than just fine silk threads, it tells the story of the Mill’s unique heritage and the true craftmanship that has gone into making it.

We specialise in shot silk taffetas, twills, and silk ribbons amongst others, combining traditional techniques and archive classics with thoughtful, contemporary design.
