The Maddick – Whitchurch Silk scarf
The Maddick, the first silk in our previous owners collection. An acknowledgement to William Maddick, who brought silk weaving to Whitchurch over 200 years ago.
Designed by Trustee Annette Poulton and Patron Peter Pilgrim, this stunning stripe features colours Tudor, Spray, Arbon, Cambridge, Alpine, Sienna, Turk & Ebony. A Limited Edition silk in a collection of 40 scarves.
At 100 yards, this is one of our longer warps. It contains 1,078 ends of silk organzine. The taffeta weave structure achieves a shot silk effect.
