The Adelaide – Whitchurch Silk scarf
£95
A design derived from our archive, only 12 scarves have been woven in this Limited Edition silk – The Adelaide. The first in our ‘Herstory’ collection, this silk is named after Adelaide Chappell – owner of the Mill from 1877 to 1886. After her husband died, Adelaide took over the running of Whitchurch Silk Mill alongside former housekeeper Sarah Chamberlain; an impressive feat for women at the time.
With the delicate pinks and greens in a gossamer light, full organzine warp and a raw silk weft, this is the ultimate luxury scarf.
