From Chalk Streams to the Open Ocean and Beyond: Photography in the Natural World

An illustrated talk by Paul Colley
In aid of living weaving heritage at Whitchurch Silk Mill

Visitors to Whitchurch Silk Mill are often attracted to the fast-flowing clear waters of the iconic river Test, which hosts hidden treasure in the form of aquatic wildlife. Paul Colley CB OBE FRPS is a former winner of the British Wildlife Photography Awards. He visits the Silk Mill occasionally to document its fish, water birds and other wildlife using his unique remote control cameras. In his talk, Paul will show what the underwater world of a chalk stream looks like from the perspective of the animals that live there. He will take you on a stunning photographic journey from our rivers to the open ocean and then into Space. He will conclude with some remarkable new images from his latest project, photographing deep space objects inspired by the night skies that formed a constant backdrop to his award-winning nocturnal bat photography.

The ticket is £ 15.

Tea and coffee will be available for donation.
