Saturday 9th March from 10:30am – 1pm (Kumihimo) & 2pm – 4:30pm (locker hooking)

Kumihimo is the ancient Japanese craft of braid making. In this workshop we will be using a variety of yarns and a simple card version of the Japanese Marudai or loom, to produce colourful braids in a number of different patterns.

Locker Hooking can be used for both decorative and practical purposes, from rugs and mats to wallhangings and much more. We will be using colourful Merino fibres and specialist hooks (which will be available to purchase) to produce samples.

Hilary Charlesworth is a textile artist with over thirty years of experience teaching a variety of textile techniques. Her work can be seen on www.totallytextiles.co.uk

All materials will be provided.

£30 each or £50 whole day includes tea & coffee
